Feel the blow of the breeze as you sail, enjoy the view as you paddle a canoe up our lovely river ways, and experience the zoom of the Zodiac as you power around the iconic Sydney Harbour.

Get out on the water in one of our many sea-faring options. Become captain, first mate or passenger of the ship - choose between power boats and sailing boats, canoes, Zodiac inflatables and tinnies, and get ready to master the seas.

SWASH is open to all Scouting members from Joeys, through to Leaders. Many parents also enjoy coming out on the water. To join in the fun on the water, simply decide what you'd like to do, then contact us!

The base is staffed by a permanent team of Scouts volunteer staff known as S.W.A.T (Scout Water Activity Team). These are a group of highly qualified and motivated individuals who are dedicated to training Scouting youth and adults on the water. The base also welcomes many helping hands of Leaders, Scouts, Venturers and Rovers from Groups all over Sydney.

Location

The Water Base has been situated at the Pointy end of the Point Road Woolwich since 1973, ever since the Hunters Hill Sailing Club moved to Merrington Place, Woolwich. We have water access to the Lane Cove River and Sydney Harbour.
