We run two types of Canoe Courses.
The first is designed specifically for Cubs to achieve their Canoe Achievement Badge in the old Yellow book and the new system.
The second is for Scouts to achieve the Canoeing Elective in the Water Activities Target Badge, for Pioneer or Explorer Level. For Adventurer level, please email [email protected] and the Canoeing team will make arrangements.
Venturers, Rovers, and Leaders are able to achieve Level 2 Scout Skills Flat Water Canoeing.
Costs
Cub Canoe Achievement Badge Course (1 day) - $40.00* (Maximum of 20 Cubs per course) *BBQ lunch and a soft drink is included
Scout Skills Canoe Course Level 2 (2 days)
Scouts age - $70.00
Venturer, Rovers, Leaders - $70.00 (Maximum of 20 per course)
We do RPL on request at the cost of $40.00
BBQ Lunch only is $5.00 per head - for off-water spectators, helpers and cheer squad
Booking
To run a workshop we require between 6 and 20 people attending.
Booking is essential. You will be invoiced for the number of Scouting and non-Scouting people at the time of the booking through State Office. A $200 non-refundable deposit is required to secure the date and and number of people in your workshop. Full payment is due 3 weeks prior to your workshop date.

Withdrawals
For withdrawal more than 4 weeks before your closing on your E1 form (this is not the date of your booking), you will receive a full refund. For withdrawal more than 3 weeks before your activity date, you will receive a full refund, minus your $200 deposit. For withdrawals less than 3 weeks before your activity date, you will NOT receive a refund and a full invoice payment is due for the numbers you have booked in for.
Exceptional circumstances will be considered with medical certificates only.
